The scheduled meeting between Iran and the three European countries, Britain, France and Germany, comes in response to warnings that international sanctions will be reimposed if negotiations do not resume. The talks will take place at the level of deputy foreign ministers, following a recent conversation between E3 foreign ministers and Iranian officials. Iran emphasized that the early return mechanism for reinstating UN sanctions should be used responsibly, given the obstacles encountered in previous negotiations with the US.
