Thomas Nilsson, head of the Military Intelligence Service of Sweden, stated that the current situation with Russia is not temporary and that there is no turning back for the Russian Federation. He emphasized that we are in a deep strategic confrontation that will last, and that the Russian economy is facing difficulties, despite the manipulation of statistics by officials. Nilsson mentioned that, in the short term, Putin's regime does not seem threatened, considering the elimination of political opposition through various methods.
Additionally, polls suggest that a part of the Russian population supports the country's ambitions as a great power. The Dutch Ministry of Defense has identified Russia as the main threat to Europe, and the Polish foreign minister has warned about possible false flag operations by Russia to justify attacks on NATO states.
