The summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, scheduled in Alaska, was confirmed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Ukrainian President Zelenski said the meeting was a "personal victory" for Putin, emphasizing that it brought the Russian leader out of isolation. Rubio dismissed the criticism, saying the meeting was not a concession to Trump. Zelensky ruled out the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the Donbas before the summit, fearing a possible unfavorable agreement.
