In the first half of 2025, the Stellantis group's production in Italy fell by 27%, according to the FIM Cisl trade union. The decline is more severe than in 2024, when production hit its lowest levels in decades. Weak demand for electric vehicles, high energy costs and competition from China are seriously affecting the group, which is preparing new models for the future. The Italian industry minister stressed that the crisis reflects the general problems in the European car sector.
