SpaceX is preparing to launch Starship V3, the tallest and most powerful rocket in the world, on May 19, 2026, at Starbase, Texas. This flight will represent a crucial test for the company, which aims to transport people to the Moon for NASA in 2028. Starship V3, with a height of 124 meters, includes significant improvements, such as the Raptor 3 engines and a redesigned launch pad.

The flight will last just over an hour, with the separation of the spacecraft from the Super Heavy booster, which will return to Earth. Starship will launch 22 Starlink simulator satellites, and a successful test will involve reigniting a Raptor engine in space and a controlled landing. SpaceX faces challenges, but the improvements made to Starship aim for rapid and efficient reuse of the vehicle for future missions, including lunar landings for NASA. The agency's Artemis program relies on commercial partners to bring astronauts to the Moon, and the success of Starship V3 could influence future lunar missions.
