The Ministry of Economy of Spain has approved the issuance of 50,000 commemorative coins dedicated to the national victory at the 2026 World Cup.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprises of Spain has approved the issuance of commemorative coins to celebrate the victory of the national football team at the 2026 World Cup, held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

A maximum of 50,000 coins will be issued with a nominal value of 5 euros, and the selling price will be 60.33 euros, excluding VAT. The obverse of the coin will feature the portrait of King Felipe VI, along with the inscription 'FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA' and the year 2026. The reverse will display the FIFA WORLD CUP 26 logo and the inscription 'CAMPEONES DEL MUNDO'.

The authorities emphasize that Spain's victory at the World Cup is a remarkable event, symbolizing excellence and international recognition of the country. The Spanish national team won the final against Argentina 1-0, with a goal scored by Ferran Torres, thus obtaining their second world title, after the one in 2010.
