Spain U20 won the women's football world title after defeating North Korea in a penalty shootout

Spain's women's Under-20 national team won the World Cup after defeating North Korea in the final on penalties, 4-3, following a 0-0 draw in regulation time and extra time.

The U20 title is the seventh trophy currently in the collection of Spanish football, in both the men's and women's game, according to the record presented by the Madrid Federation. Spain are world and European champions in the men's game, hold the senior women's world title, and also have European and world trophies at youth level. The latest success brings the number of trophies won by Spanish football at all levels, including futsal, to 70.
