The Spanish government has announced an extra week of paid parental leave, bringing the total to 17 weeks. The move reflects Spain's commitment to equality and feminism, with four in ten men choosing to take parental leave. Although the government promised 20 weeks in the election campaign, the current proposal requires approval in parliament, where negotiations are ongoing to secure the necessary votes.
