The company SpaceX has announced the construction of a new launch base, named "Starbase", in Louisiana, on a 50,585-acre site, thus expanding its operations beyond its headquarters in Texas and locations in Florida.
The project aims to support thousands of Starship flights per year, with missions to orbit Earth, the Moon, and Mars, and the first flight from the new base is planned for 2029. SpaceX estimates that this project will generate over 3,000 jobs in the region. Additionally, Elon Musk has set ambitious goals for the company, including the exploration of Mars and the development of artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, SpaceX and Tesla have announced an AI chip production complex in Texas, valued at $16.8 billion. Recently listed on the stock market, SpaceX is facing financial challenges, recording a record loss of $363 billion due to stock fluctuations.
