Elon Musk's SpaceX, in collaboration with Palantir and Anduril, are in the running for key contracts under the Golden Dome missile defense project. This project, considered vital by Trump, aims to build a constellation of satellites to detect and intercept enemy missiles. Although SpaceX benefits from an advantage because of its relationship with the administration, the decision-making process is still early and the future of the contract remains uncertain. The total project costs could reach hundreds of billions of dollars, and the Pentagon is receiving bids from more than 180 companies.
