In a meeting with the working group on economic issues, President Lee Jae Myung emphasized the importance of drafting a supplementary budget to counter the negative economic effects, especially after the economic downturn in the first three months of the year. He also called for urgent measures to stabilize prices, concerned about the rising cost of living, especially due to an outbreak of bird flu. The center-left-leaning Lee is expected to implement more generous fiscal policies.
