Kim Keon Hee, the former first lady of South Korea, has been arrested on serious charges including stock manipulation and bribery. During a four-hour hearing, she denied all the charges, but the court decided to arrest her, citing the risk of destroying evidence. Kim is accused of earning nearly $578,000 from manipulating shares in a car company and accepting gifts from the Unification Church. This is the first time both a former president and his wife have been jailed in South Korea.
