Teree Becker was found raped and asphyxiated in 1975. The case was reviewed over the years, and in 2018, the DNA profile created in Colorado was deemed a suitable candidate for genetic genealogy. Thus, police identified Thomas Martin Elliott as the prime suspect. Elliott died in 1991, and his bones were exhumed to confirm compatibility with DNA found at the crime scene.
