The Slavneft-Yanos oil refinery in Yaroslavl, the largest in central Russia, was attacked by Ukrainian drones on the night from Wednesday to Thursday, according to information from local sources and images published by witnesses.

This is one of the five major refineries in Russia and has an annual processing capacity of approximately 15 million tons of oil. Large-scale fires were observed in video footage, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack, mentioning the strategic importance of the refinery for funding Russia's war.

The regional governor, Mikhail Evraev, announced traffic restrictions in the area but did not provide details about the damage caused by the attack. Residents also reported fires in nearby homes, suggesting a significant impact from the attacks.
