The accident occurred during a routine Civil Guard patrol after the driver of a truck crashed into stopped cars, killing six people, including two policemen. Five other people were injured, three in serious condition. The driver of the truck has been arrested, and initial speculation suggests that the crash was caused by distraction or drowsiness.
