Chinese online shopping platform Shein has been fined €1 million by the Italian Competition Authority for misleading green marketing. The investigation found that sustainability claims were vague or misleading, as the company operates in a highly polluting sector. Shein said it was willing to work with the Italian authorities to clarify the situation.
