The authorities in southern Bulgaria have issued a new severe weather warning for the Burgas region, especially for the Elenite resort, which has already been severely affected by recent floods. The regional governor has activated the BG-Alert warning, which applies to all localities in the southern area, including Sveti Vlas. People are advised to be cautious and to contact emergency services at the number 112 if needed. Authorities recommend limiting travel, especially at night, and avoiding unnecessary outings. The crisis center in Primorsko operates around the clock, coordinating intervention actions.
The Elenite resort, popular among Romanian tourists, is once again facing heavy rainfall, after being affected at the beginning of the month by rains that brought over 100 liters of water per square meter, causing devastating floods in which five people lost their lives.
