France is facing severe flooding, especially in the southwestern regions, due to the Nils storm, which has brought heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts. So far, at least 2 people have died due to the extreme weather. Nearly 900,000 residents are without electricity, and authorities are facing difficulties in repairs due to flooded fields and blocked roads. Over 2000 technicians have been mobilized to restore the electricity supply. Meteorologists warn that bad weather and the risk of flooding could continue in the coming days, after the Nils storm affected western France and headed towards the Mediterranean coast.
