Three people have died and 76 have been affected by a severe storm that hit Chile, according to the government's announcement.

The storm, which began on Wednesday and is expected to last until Sunday, brought torrential rains, winds with gusts of over 100 km/h, and strong waves, affecting two-thirds of the country's regions. Interior Minister Claudio Alvarado expressed regret for the loss of human lives.

Approximately 500,000 people were left without electricity due to fallen trees on power lines. Huge waves damaged homes near the coast, and emergency teams have been deployed to assist those affected. Classes have been suspended in nine regions, and meteorologists mentioned that Chile has not experienced such a long storm with such heavy rains for about 20 years.
