The Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic confirmed that Serbia possesses Chinese-made supersonic ground-to-ground cruise missiles, CM-400AKG, mounted on MiG-29 fighter jets.

The statement came after images of these weapons appeared on social media, sparking reactions among the countries of the former Yugoslavia. Vucic mentioned that his country has a significant number of such missiles and intends to acquire more, without providing further details.

Experts believe that these missiles could reach hypersonic speeds, raising questions regarding regional security. Serbia, a candidate for EU membership, is investing in its defense to maintain its neutrality, having close relations with Russia and recently acquiring Rafale aircraft from France.
