Saudi Arabia has confirmed attacks on its oil and gas facilities, including the East-West pipeline, according to the state agency Saudi Press Agency.

The information does not specify the date of the attack, with CNN previously reporting that satellite images showed fire and black smoke from Saudi Aramco's Abqaiq processing facility, following an Iranian attack on Wednesday. This facility, located in eastern Saudi Arabia, is the largest oil stabilization plant in the world, accounting for approximately 5% of global oil supply.

The East-West pipeline, which is 1,200 kilometers long, bypasses the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic area where conflicts have affected trade.
