The Russians have built 59 launch bases for drones near the borders with Ukraine and Belarus

An investigation conducted by The Telegraph revealed that Russia has built at least 59 launch bases for drones near the borders with Ukraine and Belarus.

This discovery has been validated through the analysis of documents and satellite images, in collaboration with specialists from DroneSec. Of these bases, 10 are newly constructed and each has dozens of launch ramps. These locations are part of an extensive network, situated close to NATO borders, from where long-range drones can be launched. Some of these bases are already being used for attacks on Ukraine.

Additionally, there is an observed increase in the number of drone storage facilities, with some bases having the capacity to host over 1,000 drones.

This situation arises in a context of concerns regarding possible provocations from Russia against NATO countries, with Poland and the Baltic states being considered primary targets. Experts suggest that Russia could conduct operations under false flags to later accuse Ukraine of attacks.
