Russian Embassy, message on US Independence Day: The leaders of the two countries have "excellent personal chemistry"

In a message published on platform X, the Russian embassy emphasizes that, in the absence of "fundamental ideological divisions", Russia and the United States could and should develop a constructive coexistence.

Representatives of the embassy propose that the relationship between the two countries should be based on an authentic, economically viable partnership, grounded in mutual respect and equality. The embassy mentions the "excellent personal chemistry" between the leaders of the two countries, stating that they share "the traditional values of family and religion, sovereignty, and the nation-state", in opposition to what it calls the "rules-based liberal-globalist order".

There are also historical references to the collaboration between Russia and the USA, including Russia's support in the American War of Independence and in the Civil War, highlighting that Russia was an ally at key moments. The embassy reiterates that Russia's policy towards the USA is stable and that it desires the unity of the United States, emphasizing that, throughout history, even in times of tension, the two powers "have found ways to avoid confrontation".
