Russia has declared that it will respond against any European country that attempts to confiscate its assets, following information about the European Union's intentions to use frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine. Dmitri Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, stated that Moscow will pursue European states and will consider the confiscation of assets as theft. Russia argues that such actions will undermine trust in Western obligations and currencies, while Europeans argue that Russia must pay for the destruction of Ukraine.
