Russia considers the opening of the US missile defense base in Poland a provocation and has threatened to attack it. In response, Poland emphasized that the base is defensive and rejected Russia's accusations. The base in Redzikowo, Poland, was officially opened on 13 November and is the first permanent US armed forces base on Polish territory.
