The diocese emphasized that the decision to organize this event was influenced by the tense circumstances in the region. Perm has recently been targeted by drone attacks, including at the Permnefteorgsintez refinery, causing significant damage and panic among locals. This procession is not the first of its kind, a similar one took place during the COVID-19 pandemic when the clergy sought to protect the community from illness.
