Russia has reaffirmed its willingness to assist Iran in the transfer of enriched uranium, should the Islamic Republic decide to do so. The director of the Rosatom nuclear agency, Alexei Likhachev, stated that the proposal remains on the table, emphasizing that Russia can reduce the enrichment of Iranian uranium, but not during military operations. The Kremlin reminded that it is open to the proposal of receiving enriched uranium from Iran, previously discussed. In the past, Iran mentioned the possibility of halting uranium enrichment, but after the American-Israeli attacks, Tehran refused to restrict its nuclear program. The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency, Mohammad Eslami, stated that external demands to restrict the nuclear program are empty wishes, emphasizing that the actions of the enemies have not been successful. The nuclear file remains a sticking point in future discussions.
