The Kremlin has declared that Russia is ready to resume presidential-level dialogue with France, after President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the importance of direct discussions with Vladimir Putin to find a solution to the conflict in Ukraine.

The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed that there have been contacts that could facilitate a quick resumption of dialogue. Peskov added that reducing relations to zero is counterproductive. Macron stated that Europe should not leave discussions with Russia to Washington and emphasized the need for a coordinated European approach.
