Russia is facing a severe gasoline shortage caused by Ukraine's drone attacks on refineries, which could last nearly a year. Experts from the International Energy Agency estimate that at least one-third of Russian refineries have been affected, and refining capacity has decreased by 10%, reaching 5 million barrels per day. These attacks have led to disruptions in fuel supply in 57 regions, including Crimea. Wholesale gasoline prices have increased by 40-50% this year, and Russian authorities have imposed bans on gasoline exports and reduced environmental requirements for refineries. It is estimated that refining volumes will only return to pre-attack levels by 2026.
