On the night of Monday to Tuesday, Russia carried out a massive drone attack on the energy and railway infrastructure in the Odesa region of Ukraine, severely damaging the facilities of the public railway company Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia). According to officials, fires broke out at several energy sites, including a warehouse and an administrative building of the railway company.
These attacks come against the backdrop of an ongoing campaign by Russia to bomb Ukrainian energy infrastructures, which began in the fall of this year. In response, Ukraine has intensified drone attacks on refineries and energy infrastructures in Russia.
Also, on the night of November 10 to 11, Russia attacked Ukrainian ports on the Danube, particularly the port of Izmail, causing significant explosions. Romanian authorities activated anti-aircraft defense systems as a precautionary measure, and a RO-Alert message was issued for residents in the northern part of Tulcea County, warning them about the risks of nearby attacks.
