The situation in the Middle East affects hundreds of Romanian passengers who are stranded in countries such as Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, where the airspace has been closed for civilian flights.

The airport in Dubai was the scene of panic after an Iranian missile attack hit a terminal, causing minor damage and injuring four people. Most passengers were evacuated before the attack.

Additionally, an aircraft departing from Doha to Bucharest was turned back. In Israel, 47 Romanian pilgrims are housed in a hotel, according to the spokesperson of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău.

The airspace of Iran is completely closed for transit.
