A 43-year-old Romanian man, residing in the province of Cosenza, Italy, has been sentenced to 9 years and 8 months in prison for aggravated sexual violence, domestic violence, and bodily harm. The investigation revealed a nightmare experienced by his wife and their children, starting in 2020, when the man forced her into sexual relations through violence and financial threats.

The victim was subjected to total control, being monitored by surveillance cameras and constantly intimidated. The intervention of the Carabinieri put an end to the abuses, and the man was arrested. During the trial, sexual abuses against the youngest son were also discovered, which led to the request for a psychological assessment.
