A rocket attack caused a fire on the night from Wednesday to Thursday at a military facility in southern Russia, near the village of Kotlouban.
The regional governor, Andrei Botcharov, stated that the Russian Defense Ministry's air defense systems managed to repel the attack, but the fallen debris caused the fire. Although no civilian casualties were reported, authorities decided to evacuate residents from the area to protect them from the risks associated with the fire.
Andrei Botcharov did not specify the source of the attack, however, a day earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that its drones had struck the Lukoil oil refinery in the Volgograd region, causing a fire. Additionally, in the Tambov region, a Ukrainian drone attack damaged a military academy, and students were evacuated to a nearby hospital.
