Actor Robert De Niro joins the 'No Kings' protests, criticizing the Trump administration and promoting democracy

Robert De Niro, known for his opposition to Donald Trump, is joining the 'No Kings' protests scheduled for Saturday, which aim to criticize the Trump administration. These rallies began on June 14, coinciding with Trump's birthday and a parade dedicated to the United States Army. De Niro posted a video on social media, in which he expresses his disagreement with Trump's policies, referring to him as 'King Donald I'.

The actor emphasizes the importance of democracy, recalling the struggle of Americans against the reign of King George III and the sacrifices made in the world wars to preserve it. De Niro calls for non-violent action, stating that Americans do not wish to live under a 'pretender to the throne'. The protests are expected to gather 2,500 participants across the country.
