Reza Pahlavi, the son of the former Shah of Iran, has urged American President Donald Trump to intervene militarily in Iran, arguing that such an action could save lives and accelerate the fall of the current leadership. In an interview with Fox News, Pahlavi emphasized that the Iranian population needs external support, accusing the authorities of manipulating negotiations to buy time. He described the intervention as a necessary humanitarian action to prevent loss of life.

Pahlavi also proposed unifying the democratic and secular opposition, allowing the majority of Iranians to decide the future of the country. Despite his calls, the Iranian opposition remains divided. In the context of tensions between the US and Iran, the Iranian nuclear program continues to be a source of disputes, and nuclear negotiations will continue in Geneva. Pahlavi believes that the regime is benefiting from negotiations to maintain its power.
