Revolut has hired Frederic Oudea as president for the Western Europe hub, preparing to obtain a banking license in France.

The hiring of Frederic Oudea, former CEO of Societe Generale, highlights Revolut's expansion in the European banking market. The company intends to invest one billion euros in France, opening a new office in Paris. After obtaining a banking license in the United Kingdom, Revolut already has a Lithuanian license that allows access to the EU. With over 60 million global customers, the app has seen significant growth in Romania, with deposits of 1.2 billion euros by the end of 2024.
