The Russian subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International reported a net profit of 83.9 billion rubles in the first half of the year, thanks to international transfers and high interest rates. Although it faces pressure from the US and European authorities to reduce its Russian operations, the bank has already begun the process. However, it posted a loss in the second quarter due to a write-down linked to a dispute. A Russian court recently lifted restrictions on the sale of the subsidiary, but obstacles remain.
