Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had telephone discussions with Donald Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
During these conversations, the conflict in Ukraine was discussed, considering Trump's participation in the NATO summit in Turkey, scheduled for July 7 and 8. Yuri Ushakov, the Kremlin's diplomatic advisor, confirmed that the main topic was the resolution of the conflict.
Additionally, Zelensky described the discussion with Trump as "very fruitful," emphasizing that there is a "real perspective" to end the war and that American determination will be essential. The two leaders agreed to continue discussions at the NATO summit in Turkey.
