In his message, Putin expressed hope that the Iranian people will overcome the severe trials with dignity and emphasized the importance of the bilateral relationship. The Kremlin criticized the military attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, considering that they have led to a global energy crisis.

Although Russia supports Iran, the concrete level of support remains disputed, and Iranian officials have suggested that actual assistance has been limited. Additionally, Russia opposes the development of a nuclear bomb by Iran, fearing a possible arms race in the Middle East.
