The charitable organization Sentebale, co-founded by Prince Harry in memory of his mother, Princess Diana, has filed a defamation lawsuit against him and his friend, Mark Dyer, at the High Court in London.
The action was prompted by a "negative media campaign" that affected the organization's reputation and caused operational disruptions. Harry resigned from his position as patron of Sentebale in March 2025, following a conflict with the chair of the board, Sophie Chandauka. Harry's spokesperson dismissed the allegations, emphasizing that charitable funds should be directed towards the communities the organization serves, not for legal actions.
Sentebale, which means "do not forget me" in the local language of Lesotho, was established to help young people with HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana. The conflict led to an investigation by the Charity Commission, which found poor governance but did not find evidence of bullying.
