Police in Hungary have refused to allow an LGBT+ march scheduled for June 28, citing recent laws aimed at protecting children, backed by Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Despite the ban, the liberal-ecologist mayor Gergely Karacsony said he would organize the march as a "municipal event" without requiring authorization. European officials, including commissioners and MEPs, are expected to attend the event, challenging the Hungarian government's restrictive measures.
