The interim general mayor of Bucharest, Stelian Bujduveanu, announced the cancellation of the permit for a protest planned for September 2 by the New Right Association and the SOS Romania Party, due to the promotion of anti-immigrant messages that incite hatred. Bujduveanu emphasized that Bucharest will not become a stage for radicalism and convened the Public Order Commission to analyze the situation. Authorities reminded that incitement to hatred and violence is not tolerated, and the right to protest must be exercised in accordance with the law.
