Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar has called on Russia to guarantee that it will not intervene in Hungarian politics, amid Moscow's claims that the EU plans to oust Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Magyar stressed that Russia's statements are an unacceptable interference in Hungary's internal political processes and reaffirmed that the country's sovereignty belongs to the Hungarian people. He pledged a more open foreign policy and better relations with Western partners, in contrast to the Orban government's stance, which has been criticized for undermining democratic norms.
