In a video session with 15,000 young people from the United States, Pope Leo XIV discussed the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He emphasized that AI can be a useful tool for learning, but warned young people not to seek its help for doing their homework. The Pope described AI as "one of the defining features of our times" and encouraged young people to use it for personal development. He also addressed political issues, criticizing President Donald Trump's anti-immigration policies and highlighting that the Church does not belong to any political party, but helps to shape conscience. The Pope urged young people to build "bridges" between people, not "walls."
