The authorities in northern Cyprus continue search operations for the 20 missing persons after the sinking of the Filo Jet ferry, which went down on Sunday at approximately 550 meters deep, off the coast of the city of Kyrenia. Eight Turkish passengers have been found dead, and authorities believe that the missing persons may still be trapped inside the wreck. Two Turkish military ships, equipped with underwater drones capable of operating at depths of up to 1,000 meters, have arrived in the area to support the rescue operations.
