Polish President Andrzej Duda has called on the US to move nuclear weapons to Poland as a deterrent against the threat from Russia.

The Polish president believes that moving NATO infrastructure eastwards, including the transfer of nuclear weapons, would be justified by developments in the region. His proposal was discussed with the US president's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia. Duda argues that the presence of these weapons in Poland would enhance the country's security.
