On Wednesday morning, Polish and allied aircraft were mobilized to secure Polish airspace in response to Russian airstrikes on western Ukraine near the Polish border. The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said the measures were aimed at protecting the regions bordering the areas at risk, as western Ukraine was under air raid alert.
