Poland has decided to cede to Ukraine up to new MiG-29 fighter jets, although technical discussions regarding the details of the transfer are still ongoing. Poland's Deputy Minister of Defense, Paweł Zalewski, confirmed that the Polish government has already made this decision and is awaiting a response from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. He mentioned that Ukraine agrees with the offer, but there are technical aspects that need to be clarified.

The first batch of aircraft will consist of fewer than ten units. In the past, Poland explained that these aircraft, which are nearing the end of their lifespan, cannot be modernized and are available for delivery in exchange for access to missile and drone technologies. Ukraine has repeatedly requested these aircraft, and now the transfer is becoming possible.
