Following the attack with 23 Russian drones on September 10, Poland decided to send 40,000 soldiers to its eastern border with Russia and Belarus. NATO planes shot down ten of the attacking drones, and Poland is militarily preparing for the Zapad 2025 maneuvers, which are considered offensive. Secretary of State Cezary Tomczyk emphasized the necessity of the soldiers' presence to respond to military challenges. Additionally, Ukraine proposes a joint air defense system to counter Russian threats, involving collaboration with the Polish army.
