The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, stated that his country is ready to receive American troops that could be withdrawn from Germany, following a possible reduction of the American military presence by President Donald Trump.
Nawrocki asserted that he will personally pressure Trump to send soldiers east, emphasizing that Poland has the necessary infrastructure to host these troops. His statements come after Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that Poland should not "fleece" troops from allies, highlighting the importance of European unity.
Poland currently hosts approximately 10,000 American soldiers, while Germany has about 36,000.
